The B.A. Major in Music Studies requires a minimum of 35 semester hours:

To complete the Piano Proficiency Requirement, students must complete two semesters of MUS 115 with a C or higher.

A student may give a recital in consultation with the faculty of record and the Music Department and must be enrolled in lessons. Four semesters of one semester hour fifty-minute lessons leading up to the recital are required. A 3 SH recital may count as an elective. In addition to the required two semesters of applied lessons, three semesters of fifty-minute applied lessons may count as one 3 SH elective.
