Climate Change

Nick Johnson, Associate Professor

Faculty from other disciplines also support this minor.

The minor in climate change requires seven courses: three core courses, one course from Chemistry, one course from Ecology and Ecosystem Management, and two electives. The three core courses focus on the physical, economic, social, and political causes of climate change, ecological and social implications, and mitigation pathways. The two science courses provide foundational knowledge in support of understanding the primary drivers (forcings) of climate change and its ecological consequences. The electives allow the student to gain depth in a specific area of interest such as in sustainable development, policy, education, literature, or advocacy.
