This interdisciplinary seminar introduces pressing issues at the intersection of ecology and sustainability and explores how understanding the interconnections between natural systems and human societies can foster a resilient and sustainable future. Emphasizing systems thinking, this course develops critical thinking and collaboration, preparing students to become effective agents of change. May be taken more than once provided the topics differ.

CSEC 360 Current Science Literature 1.0 SH [  ]

Introduction to the current scientific literature in field(s) of students' choice. Initial readings are selected by faculty. Students present findings orally. Readings are selected from peer-reviewed scientific journals, e.g. Physical Review, Journal of Geophysical Research, etc. May be taken four times up to a total of four semester hours.
