CNAR 101 Intro to Narrative Studies 3.0 SH [ ]
This course offers an exploration into the art and science of narrative. Students examine narrative theory and practice across English, History, Media & Journalism and Religious Studies. By analyzing various narratives, students gain insights into the power of narrative to shape human experience and cultural identity, deepening their understanding and enhancing their analytical and creative skills in a multidisciplinary context.
CNAR 350 Applied Theories & Methods 3.0 SH [ ]
The application of various critical theories to the analysis of cultural productions, such as texts, media, and art. The course will give students an opportunity to apply these theories in historical, literary, and cultural methodological contexts. Students will demonstrate these methods in a variety of media, using sources from across the Center’s disciplines.
