To complete the Piano Proficiency Requirement, students must complete two semesters of MUS 115 with a C or higher.

A student may give a recital in consultation with the faculty of record and the Music Department and must be enrolled in lessons leading up to the recital. A 3 SH recital may count as an elective. In addition to the required four semesters of applied lessons, three semesters of fifty-minute applied lessons may count as one 3 SH elective.

Normally, a student giving a recital enrolls in the senior capstone course for two consecutive semesters, in consultation with the music faculty.
