Principia's primary purpose is to serve the Cause of Christian Science. Fulfilling this purpose includes participating in a "community of practice" where all are working to grow in their understanding and practice of Christian Science. Therefore, students who enroll at Principia must be active students of Christian Science.
Prior to applying to Principia, applicants are expected to have relied on Christian Science for all their needs, including physical healing, and they should have regularly attended a Christian Science church and/or Sunday School for at least six months.
Principia also expects community members, including students, to uphold community standards beginning at least six months prior to enrollment at the College. These standards and expectations include freedom from any use of illegal or alcohol- or tobacco- related substances, or any form of medical regimen. You are also expected to be free from engagement in any premarital or extra-marital sexual activities.
